Frequently Asked Questions

-Is WATS just for techs?

WATS is open to all techs, musicians and vocalists with a desire to expand their understanding of the tools available to them in worship.

-Do I have to come all three days?

The classes at WATS are designed to build on previous classes. You may be able to attend a portion of the training, but you will miss the foundations on which the classes you attend were built and the classes that will expand upon what you learn.

-We do not have a digital console in our church. Will what I learn be applicable to analog?

Absolutely. The principles for getting a good mix are universal. We start with the signal flow and move step by step through the development of professional mixing techniques that apply to both analog and digital tools.

-I am a volunteer sound operator at my church but don’t really know a lot about audio. I don’t really understand some of the terms people use when talking about sound. Will the audio classes be over my head?

This is the right conference for you. The classes are tiered to address all levels of expertise. All audio terms and principles will be fully explained

-How does pricing work?

Each venue will have a different pricing structure for room and board. The conference is $149 plus whatever you require for accomodations for you and your group. We have negotiated the lowest possible rates making this a very affordable option when it comes to comprehensive training for your team.
