From Long Beach Airport, depending upon the time of day and flight arrival, your shuttle trip may be about 1 ½ hours from the time of arrival (give or take) and will cost about $33-$35. Flights to Long Beach Airport are generally 71% to 82% full flights. Taxi services are also available from many locations. Be sure to use licensed taxis ***(how to determine?, average ride costs)
Be sure to check all the airlines that serve your local area to these area airports. Prices to some of the smaller airports can be much lower, and save you money. The university offers wireless internet access throughout the campus. Dorm rooms are not equipped with the usual “hotel” features such as coffee makers and hair dryers. For those of you with hair, make sure you bring one if you need it. This is a “college” area, so fast foods and other restaurants also abound just a few blocks away.
If you care to stay a few extra days, some nearby attractions include Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, numerous golf courses, Medieval Times, and Universal Studios. Don’t forget the Queen Mary at Long Beach harbor.
